Duff Lodge

Duff Lodge is Camp Talooli's all-purpose dining hall/kitchen and activity area.  Resident campers enjoy 2 meals each day in the dining hall.  Also located in Duff Lodge is the kitchen, camper/staff bathrooms, and storage/back porch area for staff.

Stage

The Stage is used daily and is an integral part of camp. Campers use The Stage to play games, play 4-Square in the rain, eat lunch, hang out, and often it is used for special programming in the afternoons. Some Resident campers also get the opportunity to spend a night on The Stage in sleeping bags with other cabins.

Totem

Totem Lodge is the nurses cabin. It is the area where the nurse lives and sleeps, as well as where campers go when they are not feeling well. There are extra beds located within Totem Lodge where sick campers may lay down to rest. Also located outside of Totem Lodge is the Campfire Cooking fire pit and the stone oven which was built a couple of years ago by campers and staff at Camp Talooli.

Archery Area

The Archery area is used each day by both day and resident campers. Each camper group has one scheduled time at Archery per week. Resident campers may also choose to do Archery for evening activities offered on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.

New Shower House

Construction began in 2005 on a new shower house to be located on the boy's side of the lake between the CIT cabins and Ayan cabin site. This new shower house will allow the boys to shower on their side of the lake and will provide more shower stalls for the groups of campers.

Boating Area

The Boating area at Camp Talooli is the area where campers come to with their groups to take boats out onto the lake. Camp Talooli has canoes, kayaks, solo canoes, rowboats, and the Pirate Ship available for campers each day. Every group has boating each day as well as additional opportunities to go out onto the lake in boats for fishing or special activities. Campers who are yellow tags in swimming can go alone in canoes and kayaks, white tags can go alone in canoes, and green tags go out in canoes with their counselors or on the Pirate Ship.

Camp Store

The Camp Talooliware store is where campers and staff go to buy Camp Talooli Souvenirs.  Each summer there are a variety of items with the Camp Talooli logo on them available to purchase.  Campers and staff can purchase T-shirts, hooded sweatshirts, baseball caps, personalized dog tags, backpacks, blankets, flashlights, water bottles, stuffed animals, key chains, coffee mugs, and more!

Shower House

The Shower house is located near Duff Lodge and has a boy's side and a girl's side. Currently it is shared by campers, CITs, and staff. Campers take their turn to shower in the shower house in the mornings and in the evenings and the staff shower on their break times during the day.

Art Barn

The Art Barn was renovated in 2004 from a storage area with the intention of providing campers with a new area to do art & crafts. Formerly Arts & Crafts was held at picnic tables behind Duff Lodge and did not provide inside shelter. The new Art Barn features tables and benches, work benches along its' walls, and electricity.

Flag Field

The Flag Field, formerly in the front yard of Duff Lodge was moved up to the Ball Field in 2004 to accommodate an additional 50 campers as Camp Talooli expanded its' Day Camp program. A new flag pole was erected and counselor stones placed into the ground for campers to line up behind. The flag field is also used as a ball field where campers can play kickball or other games.

Nature Den

The nature den was built in 1998 by a group of volunteers. Nature activity, which was formerly held in the boat house now has its own space complete with an area where campers can observe fish and turtles in tanks, as well as an outside area where campers can sit on benches and observe wildlife.

Cabin Sites

Camp Talooli has four cabin sites, two located on the "girl's" side of the lake and two located on the "boy's" side. The four sites are named Kema, Eluta, Ayan, and Okihi. Each cabin site contains 3 cabins which hold 7-8 campers each. The fifth cabin site, known as the Log Cabins is where counselors-in-training stay for the week.

Each day campers go to the Swimming area with 2 or 3 other groups and have swim lessons or free swim. The Swimming area is roped off into three sections; the Green section for non-swimmers, the White section for intermediate swimmers, and the Yellow section for advanced swimmers. The Swimming area also contains a lifeguard area and chair, cubbies for campers' belongings, and benches where "land crabs" can sit.

Challenge Course

The Talooli Tall Pines Team Challenge Course was built by Camp Talooli staff and volunteers in 2003. The Challenge Course includes low-ropes team building elements that are designed to promote teamwork, communication, and problem solving among campers. Campers at Talooli get to visit the Challenge Course with their groups two times each week.

Betts Lodge

Betts Lodge is located just past the Kema cabin site on the girl's side of the lake. The lodge is used for things such as staff training, CIT training, and occasionally resident campers will camp out and watch movies for a night with other cabin groups

Old Flag Field

The Old Flag Field, like its' name says, was formerly where campers and staff went for flag raising and lowering each day. Since expanding the Day Camp program to include additional campers the flag field has been moved up to the ball field to accommodate the increase. Currently the Old Flag Field is used for games, stilt-walking, and campers enjoy eating their lunches under the trees in the shade.

Beavers Rest

"Beaver's Rest" is a gazebo located across the lake from Duff Lodge that was built close to 20 years ago.  The gazebo is a popular spot for campers to go hiking to and sometimes to have lunch on.  Campers also often go out to take a look at the gazebo in boats.

Lake Temalo

Lake Temalo, whose name means "Clad in Mists", is Camp Talooli's private, spring-fed lake.  The lake is used only by Camp Talooli campers and staff.  Campers and staff enjoy boating, swimming, fishing, boat tipping, and other special activities on this lake.  Campers go boating and swimming each day, fishing once a week (all fish are returned to the lake), and boat tipping on "Big Thursdays".  Lake Temalo is also the backdrop for many special activities such as boat parades, pancake relays, and special fire-lighting ceremonies.
