Jan Peneston: Executive Director

Jan Peneston is the Executive Director of the Camp Fire USA Central New York Council . Formerly Jan Peneston was the full-time Camp Director at Camp Talooli for over 20 years. Jan is also on the Board of Directors as the Standards Chair of the Upstate NY section of the American Camp Association which provides guidelines and industry standards for camps across the United States.

Damara Canery: Camp Director

Damara Canery has been the Camp Director at Camp Talooli for 3 years. A long time staff member and Camp Talooli camper, 2011 will be Damara's 11th summer at Camp Talooli. Damara is also a graduate of SUNY Cortland with a MS in Recreation and Environmental and Outdoor Education. Damara is also the Education Chair for the Upstate NY section of the American Camp Association

Kelly Peneston: Assistant Camp Director

Kelly Peneston is the Assistant Camp Director and coordinator of the Talooli Integration Program at Camp Talooli. Formerly Kelly spent 3 years as the Boating Director and grew up at Camp Talooli as both a camper and a resident camp counselor. Kelly is a graduate of Hobart and William Smith Colleges and is currently pursuing her PhD in School Psychology at UMass Amherst.

Jeff Peneston: Program Director

Jeff Peneston is the Program Director at Camp Talooli and has held this position and many others at Camp Talooli for over 20 years. Jeff has been an invaluable resource at Camp Talooli and is well known by campers and staff for his vast knowledge and ability to hold large crowds captive. Currently Jeff is an Earth Science teacher for the Liverpool School District and The 2011 New York State Teacher of the Year. Jeff also spent the fall of '09 on board the Swedish Icebreaker Oden helping to do research during the ship's voyage through Antarctica.

Mark Napierkowski: Assistant Program Director

Mark Napierkowski is the Assistant Program Director and in the summer of 2010 he spent his summer working with the CITs. Formerly Mark was the Challenge Course Director at Camp Talooli since the course was constructed in 2002. Mark is well known by campers as the man who always has a game or a story to entertain the crowd. Mark is also a very active volunteer for the NYS Jaycees.

Matthew Peneston: Waterfront Director

Matthew Peneston is the Waterfront Director at Camp Talooli. Matthew has been on staff for 11 years and has also grown up at Camp Talooli in various positions such as lifeguard and day camp counselor. Matthew is currently attending LeMoyne College.

Annie Dievendorf: Art Director

Annie Dievendorf is the Art Director at Camp Talooli. Formerly Annie spent many years as a Day Camp Counselor at Camp Talooli. Currently Annie is going to school for education and this is her second year as Art Director at Camp Talooli

Teri Lawless: Camp Nurse

Nurse Teri is the full time, on-site Camp Nurse. Nurse Teri has been working at camp for 5 years as the Camp Nurse. Nurse Teri is a Registered Nurse who works full time during the school year as a Nurse in the Jordan Elbridge School District
