Parents in need of financial assistance for their children fill out an application form each summer and we decide based on financial need, and based on the number of children that need aid, how many we can provide financial assistance to. Unfortunately we cannot provide assistance to everyone in need. With your help we can increase the number of children we can send to camp and provide an experience, which as you well know, they will never forget. Click on the link below to view our Campership letter which was sent out to parents, staff, local businesses, and alumni this spring.

If you have been involved with Camp Talooli either as a camper or as a staff member, you know that it has many benefits and wonderful outcomes for children. Camp Talooli is a resource that should be available to everyone, no matter who they are, which unfortunately is not the case. There are many children out there who cannot afford to attend camp who deserve to reap the benefits that outdoor programming provides. Each year Camp Talooli seeks donations from parents, staff, local businesses, and alumni to support our campership fund. This fund helps children who are in need of financial assistance attend Camp Talooli.

In 2002 Camp Talooli launched a Capital Campaign to make improvements to structures in camp and to add new ones. Progress in Camp over the past few years has been a bit slow but we are very excited about where we've ended up. So far the capital campaign has helped us begin construction on a new shower house and to turn our barn into the new art center. Future plans include a brand new dining hall, a boardwalk circling the lake, improved swimming area, new cabin sites, another shower house, and a new ranger's cabin. The possibilities are endless but unfortunately our means are not. If you would like to donate to the capital campaign to improve Camp Talooli our contact information is located below. Additionally, construction will be continuing on our shower house this spring and we are looking for people who can help in whatever way they see fit whether its monetary, helping with construction, or with supplies and materials. All of these renovations will make camp a better place for campers to spend time. It will also allow us to expand our program to include more campers in both our day and resident programs. Currently the resident camp capacity is around 80 campers, based on the number of cabins we have and the number of campers we can have in our dining hall. With a larger dining hall and more cabin sites, we can offer the outdoor experience to a lot more children and enrich the experience for the campers who come to camp year after year. |
