Small Group Programs Camp Fire USA Small Group Programs are nationwide and for boys and girls ages 3 through high school. Small Group Programs usually meet each week for an hour and are led by two or more adult volunteers. Meetings are held after school, in the evenings or on weekends. Boys and girls learn to work together and progress through program levels according to their grade in school. They get involved in service projects which help them become responsible citizens concerned about their communities and society. Programs teach responsibility, decision-making, and other valuable skills through a variety of projects centered around five subject trails. Little Star Learning Outcomes Trail to Knowing Me

Adult Involvement Camp Fire USA is a youth centered and family focused program that engages adults and children in fun and outcome rich activities. Our programs are about doing "with" youth, not about delivering "to" youth. We encourage parents, extended family members and other members of the community to come to our meetings to interact with the youth and develop their own parenting and mentoring skills through their relationship with Camp Fire USA. Youth in the program form lasting relationships, a sense of belonging and appreciation, and a feeling of emotional commitment by adults both inside and outside the family circle. As a Little Star parent you will be encouraged to come to at least one meeting to work with your child as well as the group. We are also looking for a parent to continue the Little Star program in the fall. Other ways to be involved include talking with you child about what they learned and complete some of the family activities given out at the end of meetings. Another way to be involved is to donate materials needed for activities and projects. Any of the following materials can be brought to a Little Stars meeting and will be greatly appreciated.
Example of Typical Meeting Opening: The group will be read a story, sing a song together, or talk about the activities of the day Activity or Project: Activities will include whole group games or discussions as well as individual projects. Snack: Children will have a snack and drink that is provided by their parents or a member of the group. Group Discussion: The group will discuss some important ideas that they learned during the meeting. Closing: The group will sing a goodbye song or play a game.
